The IPC - Association Connecting Electronics Industries is a global trade association, regarded as the de-facto authority on PCB design, fabrication and assembly. As a standards body it produces numerous standards that have been adopted worldwide as the best practice benchmark.
Specifically, the IPC-A-610 standard for PCB assembly sets out criteria for the acceptability of the finished product.
At Gemini we produce product for all clients at Class 2, or Class 3. All our technicians are trained and individually certified to the recognised IPC standards, ensuring its products are suitable for a wide range of end user markets, including the MOD & defence sectors. Gemini use this standard for all of our manufacturing activities. ![]() Gemini provides products that adhere to the cleaning specification IPC CH-65A & J-Standard 001-D. by using ultrasonic cleaning, vapour cleaning and aqueous cleaning. All PCB assembly cleaning is supported with ionic contamination testing capability, suitable for a variety of conformal coating applications. ![]() We employ 2 qualified IPC instructors to ensure the quality requirements dictated by IPC-A-610 are implemented throughout all applicable areas of the manufacturing process. We define workmanship standards covering both generic manufacturing operations and bespoke production activities providing a solid foundation for training, and ensure ongoing product compliance.
