The ability to produce high yield products depends on the accuracy of the PCB tooling. Gemini Tec is an experienced PCB production company operating BARCO engineering tools for PCB pre-production.

As part of our standard tooling process we carefully prepare the PCB tooling data, from your Gerber data. Undertaking a full DRC covering numerous aspects of the physical board.

Including a check on the electrical connectivity, using our dedicated Netlist Compare software to uncover fatal errors during the post-processing.  Other vital checks include the consideration to the PCB specification, such as the base material, impedance controlled layer stack-up and potential etching faults or manufacturing constraints.

Higher level checks include the suitability of the footprints for leadless components such as QFN, DFN and BGA for X-Ray inspection and reliable solder joints, panelisation and surface finish. Once the PCB data has cleared our rigorous tooling process the PCB will then be manufactured.

Gemini use MYDATA surface mount lines, and tooling for placement is made by MYCAM. Our tooling is produced direct from CAD data and BOM allowing accurate placement data to be generated from the source files.

Bespoke programs for AOI inspection and MYDATA solder jet printing are all conducted offline, to ensure potential errors are detected prior to production.

Our tooling process addresses all the aspects of the build process, including the integration of all associated documentation required for the sub assembly, cable manufacture, box build and functional test. We operate a standard industry protocol for 'issue control' of all documentation.

Once the tooling phase has been completed, production schedules are planned using MYPLAN tools for optimum production efficiency. Feedback from our planning system provides highly accurate forecasting for delivery, which is provided to customers during the manufacturing cycle.
