Selective Conformal Coating System, using PVA technology equipment.
The distinct advantages of the PVA system means there is no longer a need to mask any keep out areas of the PCB assembly. The application and removal of 'tape' to mask critical components can be time consuming, problematical and heavily increases the cost of production. Typically this method of coating allows a high quality product to be supplied at a price point that is typically 20% to 30% lower than traditional methods of coating. In addition to a our conformal coating process we conduct a full PCB preparation process including ultrasonic cleaning and solvent based vapour cleaning. We clean our products to exceed the guidelines of IPC CH-65 A and J-Standard 001-D, also known as MIL SPEC. We use Zero Ion contamination testing to ensure the level of cleanliness.
Gemini can provide its customers with fully coated PCB assemblies, as part of its turnkey operation or post test. And because we use a fully automated selective process, it can be supplied at highly cost effective rates.
